 Holiday music, refreshments and cheer were enjoyed by all in our unique historic district!

Framed by temporary ramps and scaffolding, the 2006 Beverly Christmas tree shines in the interior of the old Bank Building, now nearing completion.
 

Beverly Visitors this year were welcomed to:

  • A Taste of Tradition – FREE samples and recipes of traditional holiday treats such as wassail and pudding – Historic Beverly/Rich Mountain Visitor Center

  • Victorian Ornament Workshop – Handmade heirloom holiday tree ornaments – small donation requested for materials – Stalnaker Cabin

  • Holiday Bazaar and Luncheon – Homemade soups, salads, sandwiches and deserts plus holiday gift baskets and baked goods – 10 am 0 2 pm – Beverly Presbyterian Church

  • Christmas Sale of Books – Randolph County Museum – Special off-season opening of the museum for touring and purchase of historic books and regional history.

  • Christmas 1863 – Fireside historic readings and music at the Lemuel Chenoweth House, 7 pm, by appointment only call 636-2650 or 636-1953

  • Victorian Santa and live music –at various locations throughout the day 

  • Shopping, shopping and more shopping at the specialty shops of Beverly!  Cornucopia, Abbie’s Antiques, Red Rooster, Blue Hole Country Treasures, Yarn & Co., Chenoweth House and The Goff House Antique and Textile Studio.

 

On a  brisk but clear December Saturday, visitors to Beverly toured both historical and craft attractions.
