4. The Curry House

Parkison Collett sold this 1 7/8-acre property to James Moyers and his daughter Rachel J. Curry in 1897.

Rachel's husband, A. Watt Curry, had a jewelry shop on Main Street. The L-shaped house has three gable roofs, making it a style known as a tri-gable L. It has scrollwork ornamented trim, and three chimneys.
